I have another set of glasses similar to this set, but the glass is so thin I'm scared to use them. These glasses are sturdier, I was pleased to find, and I like the silicone hand grips and lids. The set of four glasses comes with four glass straws--great for the environment. Silicone lids are included, with openings for straws. I agree with another reviewer that the lids aren't secure. (I grabbed a glass and almost dropped it because the lid came off in my hand.) I've run the glasses--silicone and all--through the dishwasher, and they do great. As long as you keep in mind the unsecure lids, this is a great buy.3 things I love about these glass cups:1. Comes with everything you need: 2 straw cleaners & 1 cup cleaner.2. The glass does not feel cheap/thin at all. Durable cups! (good for clumsy people like me)3. 4 cups, straws, lids, and sleeves. All of these are detachable which makes it versatile AND easy to clean!These cups are perrrrfect for my iced drinks, especially coffee so it doesn't stain my teeth!DIFFICULTIES:1. You do have to use the cup washer that comes with it because my hands and sponges will not be able to reach the bottom of the cup.2. These are not very suitable for hot drinks! I made hot tea and had to let it cool down first before I could even touch the glass. Even tho there's a "sleeve" and advertised to withstand high temp, the glass + the sleeve gets wayyy too hot to hold.Random Note:I have a lot of reusable straws at home (glass, metal, etc). BUT these have become my new favorites recently since they are sooo easy to drink from! I think it's the way the opening of the straw is made that makes it easier to suck haha.I drink a lot of water, so I’ve switched to glass to reduce waste and save money. These glasses have a about the same capacity as a water bottle (16 oz). I was worried about them being fragile, but I’ve dropped them a few times from table height onto my wood laminate floor without the glass breaking. The silicone sleeves are removable as well as the cap on the silicone lid. The lid is thick and fits securely.I like the different color lids since it makes it easier for everyone to keep track of their cup. The glass straws come with brushes for cleaning. I prefer the glass straws over metal because it’s easier to know they’re clean inside.I needed drinking glasses for my new house. I like how they are glass and the top is able to be covered. Also having the straw option is a nice touch. They seemed to be well made and are attractive looking. I wash all my dishes by hand so not sure how they hold up in the dishwasher.Super cute colors for these drinking cups. They look like little soda can bottles but with the hole for the drinking straw. :) You can close the cup when not drinking too. Very convenient because the silicone top has the cover attached and you just slide it over, after removing the glass straw. The glass is very sturdy and not thin material. Nicely packaged and have washed it several times too. Has held up well, so far. :)I expected them to be a tad bit sturdier fit my use but overall they are pretty sturdy. Aesthetically they look great.Super cute! Love the silicone lids, has straws an everything. Will be using for my morning coffees!I'm trying to replace some plastic cups with glass. They need to have lids that accommodate straws while being leak resistant -- need good lids. This works pretty well in terms of gentle sloshes, however if I turn it upside down and shake it a little bit, the lid will pop off and the contents spill. So probably good for most adults, not as good for kids. Glass straws are beautiful but a little scary. Again, better for adults than kids. They are glass, good and bad. Good: Not as toxic as plastics. Bad: If it breaks it can cut you. They come with brushes for cleaning them. The cups themselves came with a sponge brush that I threw away -- those sponge brushes get nasty really fast and I didn't see any point. Honestly, if they had just made lids stay on well, I would have given them 5 stars. i have silicone straws I can use with them.
